May 15th to 17th, the First ASEAN E-Commerce Cooperation Dialogue was held in Jakarta

May 15th to 17th, “ASEAN-China Belt and Road Business Forum: the First E-Commerce Cooperation Dialogue” was held in Jakarta. This event was co-hosted by  ASEAN-China Centre and The Mission of the People's Republic of China to ASEAN, and organized by Guangdong High-Tech Industry Chamber, ASEAN Finance Agency, Shenzhen Dorlly Industrial Park Operations Management Co. Ltd. This activity was also supported by Indonesian National Tourism Department, Indonesia Investment Coordinating Committee, Xinhua News Agency Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau, Indonesia Business Hall China Committee, Association of Indonesia China Economic, Social, and Cultural Cooperation.

H.E. Yang Xiuping, Secretary General of ASEAN-China Center, H.E. Huang Xilian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to ASEAN, H.E. Aladdin D. Rillo, Deputy Secretary General of ASEAN, H.E. Tan Hung Seng, Ambassador of Singapore to ASEAN, and representatives from Indonesian Marine department, Trade Department, Ministry of Tourism all attended the dialogue and delivered speeches. The conference surrounded the topic of "Belt And Road", focusing on the status quo, future trends and cooperation opportunities of E-commerce in China and ASEAN countries.  It was had a series of media interactions, such as ASEAN-China entrepreneur project communication conference and Internet and China, ASEAN and future seminar. It has brought unprecedented new opportunities for innovation and cooperation between China and ASEAN. The two sides have a good foundation for exchanges and cooperation, because both China and ASEAN countries attach great importance to E-commerce.
